Chris Small is the creator and co-producer of the documentary film “War in Heaven, War on Earth.” He founded The Lincoln project and has portrayed our 16th President for two decades. He is an Indiana Academy alumna, as well as historical filmmaker, and will be presenting on the topic “War in Heaven, War on Earth” (A history of the rise of the Seventh-day Adventist Church during and amidst the American Civil War). Topics in the presentation include:
• What events of 1844—besides the Great Disappointment—shaped the destiny of the United States and the Adventist movement?
• “Skunks and woodchucks!” Why did the church need to organize?
• How did the Adventists react to slavery, Civil War, and President Lincoln?
• In the last months of the war, what did Adventists pray for . . . and how did
God answer their prayers?
All are invited!
